One day a page is indexed and the next day it is not.

The SERPents will come by and eat up a URL and the next day poop it out.
Odd but true web pages are indexed at Google.com and they disappear fo days, weeks or months.
Why? "They" say there are no answers to why questions. They can endu p like a fractal, never ending answers or theories. I call it a Google hair ball.

Tom's Lawn Mowing serving Seattle Everett King and Snohomish counties in Washington State will be removed for months at a time. Google removes Tom's Lawn mowing from its search index Starting in March and does not show up until July or so. That is spring in Seattle and that is the PRIME business peak season for a landscape oriented business. Very devistating to the business. Thanks Google. Consequently the advertising dollars need to be put where people can see and find Tom's Lawn Mowing during mowing season and not in the winter. Lawn press can put an ad in with a phone call tonight and have it show up in print and online by morning giving a backlink.

Google hair balls
Google jerks sites chains with the old in and out. IDOWEBS CheckLinks is Google dissallowed service where theoretcially a web manager could see if their pages were indexed and be alerted by email ect.
Hair ball theories could include things like the Google index is being updated or my Sprint Internet connection is now in Reston Virginia and not Long Beach California or some other place where the Google index is not updated yet. I am guessing an entire site could be dedicated to Google hair balls.
